Sive

JAZZ FOLK

Sive is a musician/songwriter who grew up in Naas. A multi-instrumentalist, she has been honing her unique style of writing since she was in her teens. Having spent her younger years playing in a variety of bands, she first began performing her own material while studying music in The Netherlands in 2009. Since then she has been gigging extensively in Ireland and beyond, opening shows for the likes of Gemma Hayes, Jerry Fish and Kila. Sive released her debut album We Are Moving to critical acclaim in 2012, followed by an EP titled Turn Down the Silence which was launched in Dublin Unitarian Church last November. When she's not busy with her own music, you'll find her giving music workshops or working as a session musician/vocalist. This year so far has seen her appearing on RTE's Other Voices, supporting John Spillane in the London-Irish Centre and performing alongside Donal Lunny and Paddy Glackin at the Dublin Peace Concert. She has also been working on new material in Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin.
