The Festival 2014

The event took place on Sunday 28th of September between the hours of 2-5pm, which coincided with the inaugural running of the Naas 10km.

The festival kicked off with a launch night on the 24th of September with an intimate gig from Americana nominated music troubadour, Kevin Welch and his son Dustin. As a recording artist Kevin has charted 5 times in the American top 100. Kevin is also an accomplished song writer having wrote songs for artists such as Garth Brooks, Moe Bandy, Trisha Yearwood, Waylon Jennings, Charlie Pride, Randy Travis, Don Williams, The Highwaymen, Reba McEntire to mention but a few. Dustin taught himself how to play the banjo and experimented with different styles and has formed his own unique style of storytelling. Dustin hosts two weekly song writing and guitar workshops both in Austin and San Marcos for a programme entitled Soldiers Songs and Voices, this is a tribute for Armed Forces Veterans.

On Saturday 27th of September their was a charity soccer match in aid of Kildare Down Syndrome Association, played between Redwood FC and Chamber All Stars team, this tied in nicely with Pints Of All Sorts gig on Saturday night in Kavanaghs Pub main street Naas. On Sunday came the penultimate event the Naas Town 10km and was followed by the Hardly Strictly Acoustic Festival.
